DARA CLIFFORD opened his Physio Clinic on Mon 9th October and will also be taking Pilates classes. Dara graduated from UCD with a first class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. Due to a keen interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation, Dara completed extensive training in the STOTT Pilates method which afforded him the opportunity to work within a sports practice providing treatment to elite athletes and members of the public suffering from back problems, neck dysfunction, rehabilitation needs and musculoskeletal disorders.
He gained invaluable experience by working in busy London practices within the NHS and private practice. He has completed various rotations through many specialist areas and spent the last number of years focusing on actively treating athletes at a university level. He has gained further knowledge in the practice of dry needling, electrotherapy (interferential, TENs, Ultrasound, infrared etc) biomechanics, orthotic prescriptions, Kinesiotaping, hydrotherapy, healthy HIIT Pilates, advanced sports nutrition, sports traumatology, acupuncture and squash coaching.
Currently completing further study to acquire the title as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and FIFA football medicine diploma.
